Trump Ordered to Pay $83.3 Million to E. Jean Carroll

President Trump emerged victorious once again today against the onslaught of frivolous lawsuits and legal harassment coming from the radical left.

A New York jury ordered the 45th president to pay a paltry $83.3 million in damages to E. Jean Carroll, an aging gossip columnist who accused Mr. Trump of defaming her character.

This sum is mere pocket change to the highly successful businessman and will hardly put a dent in his vast fortune and empire.

The facts of this ridiculous case are straightforward.

Nearly three years ago, Ms. Carroll levied scurrilous and unfounded accusations that Mr. Trump had assaulted her in the 1990s.

Despite a complete lack of evidence and corroboration, the mainstream media seized upon these claims in their usual frenzy to personally attack and defame President Trump.

As is his wont, Mr. Trump fought back and denied these bogus charges in the court of public opinion.

Now, years later and in the twilight of her career, Ms. Carroll pursued legal action in a blatant attempt to extract money and revenge from the former president.

This verdict will undoubtedly be appealed to higher courts where cooler and more judicious legal minds will review the merits.

They will surely determine that Mr. Trump’s statements were reasonable personal opinions and defenses of his character, not factual claims that could be proven true or false in a court of law.

His comments will be shown to fall well within the bounds of constitutionally protected free speech.

Any damages awarded will then be thrown out, as they should be.

Far from deterring or silencing him, this legal harassment will only strengthen Mr. Trump’s resolve to fight for the forgotten men and women of this country.

It will rally his base who see this verdict as just another example of the system being rigged by left-wing activists masquerading as impartial jurists.

The contrast between Mr. Trump’s policies of law and order versus the chaos and social disorder promoted by the Biden administration will become even starker.

This minor legal setback is but a bump in the road for the populist movement led by Mr. Trump.

He continues to hold a commanding lead in 2024 election polls and fundraising.
